Biography
Enrichetta Xitlali Punzo is a photojournalist from Tuscany, Italy. After receiving her diploma in architecture at Liceo Artistico Duccio di Buoninsegna (Siena) in 2019 she started her university at IED - Istituto Europeo di Design in Milan, major in photography, mostly working on landscape and photojournalistic projects. In 2022 she got her degree with the thesis project “FERNWEH EXP”, an art book whose topic is the relationship between viewers and paintings and the use of photography inside museums. In the following year she started the artistic group OFFICI-e with the intention of working with under-35 artists. They are currently working on exhibitions based in Radicondoli (Siena, Italy). She was also working on her long-term project “Tutto L’Anno” about the life inside Siena contrada (contrada della Lupa) during the winter and the preparation of the Palio di Siena. In 2023 she was part of the collective exhibition at IN3C Festival (San Gimignano, Italy), with her project “(SI)” about abandoned places in the Tuscany countryside. In 2024 she has been enrolled in the International Center of Photography One-Year Program in Documentary Practice and Visual Journalism and won the Documentary Arts Fellowship by Documentary Arts, Inc. During the same year she’s been part of Shared Spaces group exhibition (ICP museum, New York City) and Demetropolis Festival (Radicondoli, Italy) with her project “Where the Shadows are Pastel Blue”.
She is currently based in Brooklyn, New York City.
